To make puree, tomatoes are blended and boiled to remove excess moisture,it is preserved with a given amount of salt. It can be stored in the refrigerator and used to make stew.

Tomatoes can be used for ketchup or as a dip for potato chips or chicken wings. Instead of blending the tomatoes, it is pounded. Spices are added, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, vinegar. Boiled until thick( all moisture removed) and sieve. Ketchup is allowed to cool and used.
