
Most times, the diseases and sicknesses we experience in our bodies can be avoided or prevented, invariably cured without the use of drugs and injections but with right and healthy eating.
Avocado happens to be one of the fruit which contains necessary vitamins and nutrients that are beneficial to the body, but most people do not give attention to it because of its taste.
Avocado is a climacteric fruit mostly a berry grown from the avocado tree which was first found in Mexico! They contain vitamin C, E, K and B-6.
Before we continue, would like to differentiate between pear and avocado, for some people who don’t know,so they won’t get lost.

Avocado can be eaten as a guacamole (sauce) or dip for bread.
Avocado can also be eaten with bread, salad, plantain or yam.
It can also be eaten as alone or in form of a smoothie.
Here are some facts u need to know about avocado:
1. Helps reduce belly fat and lose weight
Avocado contains fat. Healthy mono unsaturated fat. Thus when eaten ,it is filling and satisfying, hence delaying consumption of next meal for sometime. Therefore its own method of losing fat.
2. Reduces inflammation of the heart.
This mono unsaturated fat present in avocado contains omega 3 and 6 fatty acids which prevents heart disease and plumps blood well.

3. Very high in folate
Folate is an essential vitamin for pregnant women and other women who wants to get pregnant. Its builds the brain and cells of the baby, repairs the RNA and DNA.
4. Contains more potassium than banana
Potassium helps lower blood pressure and reduces blood sugar, thus preventing type 2 diabetes. Also contains fiber to lower cholesterol.

5. Prevents osteoporosis (weakening of bones).
Contains vitamin k and E which helps is needed for strengthening of bones (especially after a hard day’s work or long queue at the bus stop, an avocado shake would do).

6. It Lowers depression
Some studies and research signifies that foods that are high in folate helps reduce depression. It stimulates the brain and neuron canal particularly the part that deals with excitement.
7. Gives clear vision
Avocado also contains carotenoids (beta – carotene) which is a precursor of vitamin A which is essential for vision.( your eyes ,cones and rods are sharp).
