Before you start reading, know two things:
1. Excessive consumption of carbonated drink is harmful to the body (causes high blood pressure and several heart diseases) Think twice before you consume!
2.clear your mind! forget you have a favourite between the Two.
This topic has been extensively researched upon, but I decided to write it from my perspective.
In this article, I’ll would be using ; Taste, Ingredients and Price to Judge.
Starting from price; Pepsi is cheaper than Coke in litres and quantity.
Ingredients:
Coke contains : carbonated water, sugar (fructose or sucrose),caffeine, phosphoric acid (preservative), caramel(colouring), and natural flavour (cola flavour).
Pepsi contains: carbonated water, sugar,caramel, high fructose corn syrup,caffeine,phosphoric acid, citric acid and natural flavour.
Pepsi & Coke both contains artificial sweeteners such as sucralose and aspartame which is dangerous to health.
By History ,Coke has been around for 133 years and Pepsi 120 years.
By Taste: because we all have different taste buds, this will be the toughest decision, as most people like different things. Pepsi is sweeter than coke , so right away when you sip it, you get the citrus flavour added to it, unlike the raising vanilla taste of coke.
The taste of Pepsi tends to last for a short time while coke keep building up its sweetness till you finish a bottle.
Thus, Pepsi contains citric acid that coke doesn’t and 2 extra grams of Sugar.Also the additional gram of sodium may explain why coke tastes like club soda and tones down it sugar…
Which do you prefer; More sugar or Less?
So here we have it;
In price: Pepsi won
Taste: Coke won (I wouldn’t advice excessive sugar).
Ingredient: Pepsi won ( citric flavour).
Since what we derive is from the taste,and the contents that go into the body.
I am declaring Coke as the winner of this food war, as taste and content is what actually matters.
